The Fighter - Daniel Ritchie

Episode Summary

Daniel Ritchie shares his amazing story of Recovery. Growing up in Finneytown Ohio (A small suburb) Daniel experienced chaos almost daily. By the age of 15 Daniel was selling and using drugs, getting into fights, and frequently spent time in jail. This led to Juvenile Prison, where he wasn't released until after his 18th birthday. Having spent a majority of his teenage years incarcerated, Daniel developed a strong disregard for authority. As a young adult, he channeled his love for fighting into amateur MMA and won multiple fights in the Midwest. During this time, Daniels drug use grew into something he could've never imagined and drove him to the point of homelessness. He lost everything... including his will to live. Today, Daniel has a life that centers around his family and helping others. He works as a Peer Volunteer at UC Hospital helping addicts and alcoholics currently at the hospital to get into treatment. He's writing a book on his life, in school for real estate, and a self proclaimed "Lover & Fighter". Daniel is doing BIG things.
